As we continue to expand our impressive portfolio of clients and secure long-term contracts, we are seeking talented individuals to join our passionate team. If you are ready to make your mark in the industry and be part of a family-owned business, this is your opportunity to thrive.

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Class 2 HGV Drivers/Jetting Operatives based out of our Plympton Depot to join our dynamic team working across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. You’ll be working on a variety of small and large-diameter sewer cleaning projects, including culverts and outfalls.

The ideal candidate will possess an up-to-date CPC driver card, and while experience in high-pressure water jetting would be advantageous, we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success in the role.

Holding qualifications such as PTS (City & Guilds) Confined Space Entry, NRSWA (Street works), and a valid CSCS card would also be highly beneficial.

As an HGV Driver and Jetting Operator at Glanville Environmental, your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and driving Class 2 HGV vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Adhering to all relevant road traffic regulations and safety protocols.
  • Conducting routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
  • Utilising high-pressure jetting equipment to clean and clear sewer lines and drainage systems.
  • Operating specialist jetting machinery and tools with precision and care.
  • Assessing and diagnosing blockages, obstructions, and drainage issues.
  • Implementing appropriate jetting techniques to effectively resolve problems.

The position entails working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, being part of our client-centered 24/7 reactive service. This means that occasional participation in a call-out rota and willingness to work overtime will be essential, rewarded with enhanced overtime rates. Embracing a hands-on approach, this role demands both enthusiasm and flexibility, along with the ability to take initiative and work independently.

We offer a competitive package designed to attract and retain top talent. This includes:

  • Competitive hourly rate of up to £14.50 per hour, dependent on your experience
  • Overtime opportunities at enhanced rates
  • A pension scheme
  • 28 days of annual leave, including bank holidays, with the option to purchase up to 5 additional days
  • Health Cash Plan to support your well-being
  • A wellness program to promote a healthy work-life balance
  • Access to our accredited training academy, providing industry-led courses for your ongoing professional development
  • A Cycle to Work scheme that encourages sustainable transportation
  • Discount voucher scheme for various retailers, products, and services

At Glanville Environmental, we take pride in acknowledging that our exceptional accomplishments are a direct result of the dedication and skill of our workforce. By joining our team, you become part of a collective that is spearheading sustainable infrastructure in the civil engineering and drainage sector by revolutionising the industry, embracing innovation, and challenging conventional boundaries.
