James West is our Operations Director, with more than 20 years of experience in the civils, drainage, and utilities sector. Since joining Glanville Environmental 3.5 years ago, James has played a key role in strengthening our operational performance, most recently serving as Head of Operations before stepping into his director role.
James built his career through a wide range of operational and leadership positions, progressing from hands‑on technical roles into managing complex programmes, teams, and major infrastructure delivery across the South West. His blend of technical knowledge and practical field experience gives him a deep understanding of how to deliver safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations.
As Operations Director, James leads all aspects of project delivery, operational strategy, and client management, ensuring Glanville continues to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.
Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his family and has a passion for football and family holidays.
