As part of our supervisor training, we will now be introducing the requirement not only for SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) but also for Supervisors to complete the SEATS (Site Environmental Awareness Training Scheme). This, like the SMSTS course will provide our supervisors with the extra knowledge on site to highlight issues and concerns that may have been missed and puts our goal of protecting the environment not just with our managers but also more on site. The course covers a range of different elements including environmental management systems, waste management, statutory nuisance etc. Members of the team have already been on the course and reported that it gave them a broad understanding for environmental awareness and protection whilst on site.
