Baking cakes and pastries that would have shamed the ‘Bake off’ contestants, the Glanville staff really got into fundraising mode to raise money for MacMillan recently.
Cakes of all shapes and sizes were the order of the day, as staff at Lee Mill, Bodmin and Highbridge depots, baked, bought and sold cakes and pastries as part of the national MacMillan Coffee Morning campaign.
Event organiser, Jade Doidge, Engineering Technician, at the company’s Lee Mill site said, “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for baking and buying so many lovely cakes and pastries, and to everyone who paid for and ate their way through the mountain of food in support of this worthy cause.”
Jade added, “I’m sure that most people know someone living with, or whose lives are affected by Cancer.
It is great to think that by holding our coffee morning we will be helping someone who needs support.”
The total amount raised across the company was a whopping £337.81!
