Transport & Workshop Manager – Plympton

Glanville Environmental are a well-established drainage and civil engineering company that have been successfully operating for over 30-years in the South-West region. With a growing portfolio of clients and multiple long-term contracts, we are experiencing exponential growth and are looking for a range of personnel to join our family owned business.

We currently are looking for an experienced Transport & Workshop Manager, based at our Plympton depot to manage and maintain our fleet and equipment.

The Transport & Workshop Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing Operators License which will include Vehicle maintenance & inspections, Digi downloads, vehicles and drivers and Driver hours
  • Managing the workshop & team of fitters.
  • Managing the Company small tools and equipment.
  • Managing and control of the company vehicle insurance.
  • Managing and control of the company fuel cards.
  • Managing and control of the vehicle trackers.
  • Keeping up to date and being aware of the legislative compliance.

We are looking for the following experience and skills:

  • Proven track record of working in transport.
  • Vehicle & Driver compliance management.
  • CPC Transport Managers Certificate with a minimum of 3-years’ experience.
  • In depth Knowledge of current legislations.
  • Excellent management & communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and react quickly
  • Good IT skills with knowledge of MS Office / Word / Excel.
  • Good presentation & written reporting skills.
