Payroll Clerk – Lee Mill

Glanville Environmental are a well-established drainage and civil engineering company that have been successfully operating for over 30-years in the South-West region. With a growing portfolio of clients and multiple long-term contracts, we are experiencing exponential growth and are looking for a range of personnel to join our family-owned business.

We are currently looking for a Payroll Clerk to work within our finance team, based at our head office in Lee Mill, who will be responsible for the following:

  • Carry out calculations of pay and deductions for both fortnightly and monthly staff
  • Help monitor WTD shift patterns
  • Ensure correct and accurate processing of payroll data
  • Process Pension Submissions
  • Assist in the process of holiday records
  • Record absences / process sick pay
  • Check and produce payslips, P45’s, P60’s and P11d’s
  • Payroll Year Procedure
  • Answer earnings enquiries
  • Deal with HMRC, PCC, CCC, CSA, DEA, and process deductions
  • Liaise with HR and Department Managers for Starters and Leavers
  • Assistance with the administration of the sickness, holiday, and absence procedure

We are looking for the successful candidate to have:

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in a payroll focused role
  • The ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills – you need to engage with colleagues across the whole of the organisation
  • The ability to work under pressure

Working a 40-hour week Monday to Friday, however we could consider part time. Glanville Environmental look to offer a competitive package for this role to include:
