Civils Office Assistant Manager – Plympton

Glanville Environmental is a well-established drainage and civil engineering company that has been successfully operating for over 39 years in the South-West region. With a growing portfolio of clients and multiple long-term contracts, we are experiencing exponential growth and are looking for a range of personnel to join our family-owned business.

We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Civils Assistant Office Manager to work within our Civils team based in Plympton.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and highly motivated person with excellent administration and communication skills.

The main duties will include:

  • The day-to-day running of the department
  • Preparing road notices
  • Booking Traffic management with contractors
  • The close down of jobs
  • Resolving any problems on site
  • Ordering of plant and materials
  • Liaising with customers
  • Maintaining spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of CAD would be advantageous

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent computer and keyboard skills, ideally in Word and Excel
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Be able to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Be an excellent communicator
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Understand confidentiality within the workplace
