Glanville Environmental’s Trenchless Division has invested in new manhole rehabilitation solutions with its Manhole Spray Centrifugal Equipment. This enables the manhole to be rehabilitated from above ground.
The system works by using a centrifuge spray technique. Wall shafts of up to 10 metres deep can be coated. It’s an automatic system where no human entry is required into the shaft, making the operation safe and efficient.
The coating process is based on an integrated system consisting of a mixer, a pump and a centrifugal spray. For loading the grout or controlling the mixer and pump, only one operator is needed. The centrifugal spray attached to the Tripod-mounted winch is guided up and down the shaft at constant speed by a second operator.
This equipment will enable us to take a more holistic approach when dealing with infiltration projects, as we can now seal access chambers to make them watertight when lining the pipes. Preventing groundwater from entering the network.
We are also in the process of commissioning more specialist equipment to increase our in-house capacity for installing both large diameter CIPP lining and connection collars.
