Eddystone Challenge

On Saturday the 16th of August, the Veteran Ladies Eddystone Crew from The Tamar & Tavy Gig Club managed to raised £3,300 for Children's Hospice South West.

To do so they had to participate in the 'Eddystone Challenge' rowing event. On the day the conditions were absolutely horrendous, with strong winds and huge waves.

Despite the difficult weather conditions the organisers of the challenge decided to launch the event. The girls said: 'the conditions  were certainly the most difficult that we have ever had to row in.'

The team managed to finish the race in a creditable 3 Hours and 41 minutes, and sent Glanville Environmental this letter of thanks for their support.
