Glanville re-brands and launches new web site

Established in 1980 and formerly known as Glanville Cleansing, Glanville Environmental has evolved in recent years to become a key provider of construction, groundworks and waste management services to commercial and domestic customers throughout the South West.

The company’s new website www.glanvilleenvironmental.com details many of the new services on offer, and includes a variety of case studies designed to give an insight into the firm’s problem solving capabilities and scope of projects undertaken.

These services, which originally covered the clearance of blocked drains and emptying of septic tanks, now encompass CCTV Surveys, the re-lining and renewal of pipework systems,  installation, commissioning and servicing of bio-treatment plants and pump chambers and the construction and maintenance of golf courses, drainage soakaways, pathways and highways!

The rebranding to Glanville Environmental also underlines the company’s green credentials. Managing Director, David Glanville says: “we achieved BSi ISO 14001 Environment Management System accreditation in 2007 and we have recently purchased a treatment works at Lee Mill where we can treat our waste in both an efficient and environmentally friendly manner.

We have now taken the next step in our development and changed our trading name to Glanville Environmental, which I feel more accurately reflects the breadth and depth of services that the company offers today".

Note to Editor

1) Glanville Cleansing Ltd.

Glanville Cleansing Ltd.  has now been trading for 30 years, but its roots are very different to the company you find today.
The company first operated as a one man business utilising a single tractor and tanker, working locally within a 15 mile radius of Plymouth. The first tanker lorry was bought five years after Glanville Cleansing Ltd. was established, which allowed the company to broaden its working perimeter and to empty septic tanks.

As the company expanded, David Glanville was able to purchase his second lorry and employ his first member of staff, his sister Jeanette Glanville, and together they worked to expand and develop the services that the company offered.
As the company expanded the number of lorries and employees grew, and Glanville Cleansing Ltd. was able to purchase some of its own jetting equipment. This facilitated further company growth, opening up several new markets including the utility and rail industries.
Responding to the increasing number of customer requests for groundworks, construction and pipe systems repair and installations, a Construction division was established in 2001. This flourishing division has expanded rapidly and complements the company's waste management services.

Glanville Environmental now offer a unique groundworks, construction and waste management solution covering the whole of the South West region, operating from coast to coast and stretching all the way from Lands End to Swindon.

In addition to its thousands of private customers, Glanville Environmental are also approved contractors with South West Highways, Plymouth City Council, West Devon Borough Council, South West Water, Wessex Water, and numerous Construction companies in the South West.
