Pump Station Maintenance

The solution

Glanville Environmental carried out an initial site survey and developed a strategic project plan involving a 24 hour 7 days per week tankering operation. Due to the scale of the task Glanville had to utilise some approved sub contractors.  Glanville installed 2 ‘super-silent’ 6” pumps to load tankers at a quick rate to maintain low levels in the pumping station. If the pump station had been allowed to overflow it would have caused a major pollution problem. By using the 6" pumps we were able to load 3 tankers simultaneously, whilst still minimising noise and disruption for residents.  At times of high flow over twenty tankers were in service.

The result

The project was completed successfully with no incidents, flooding or pollution, Glanville Environmental achieved this by very careful planning and management, and by utilising state of the art 6” pumps to improve loading times thus preventing any overflow or spillage.
