High Pressure Water Jetting Operative/Tanker Driver

All Drainage systems need cleaning from time to time. HPWJ provides a quick, efficient cost effective solution to most drainage problems, from reduced flow to total drain blockages. High pressure water jetting is an effective cleaning technique for use in drains, sewers and culverts, and it can also be used to remove relatively soft silt or hard solid-set substances such as scale or cement.

Equally septic tanks need to be emptied on an annual basis and there is a requirement for our Operatives to be multi-skilled to address our septic tank customer needs.

This industry is highly regulated with regard to health and safety, and although every safety precaution is taken this can be a demanding job and is not for the faint hearted. Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Tanker Driver/HPWJ Operative would ideally possess the following:

Qualifications & Skills
•    NVQ2 Jetting (training can be provided)
•    HGV Class 2 License
•    Physically Fit
•    Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
•    Mechanically minded

Knowledge
•    Literacy and numeracy (completion of records and job sheets)
•    An ability to apply Health and Safety procedures for safe working
•    Experience of groundwork or drainage
•    Criminal Records Bureau or MOD Security Clearance
•    CSCS and PTS Card
•    Knowledge of the South West road network

Attitude
•    Highly motivated
•    Expected to work overtime and work / stay away from home on occasions
•    Show initiative
•    Team Player with good customer care skills
•    Flexible
•    Good timekeeping

The ideal candidate would also have:
•    First Aid Certificate

Pay Band: £7.80 - £8.60/hour dependent on experience (45 hour week)
